Monster.com and careerbuilder.com have millions of resume to choose from. 9 times out of 10 pharmaceutical sales managers, pharmaceutical recruiters, and those in human resources are short on time.
When I used to do headhunting for pharmaceutical sales jobs and ran across a few dozen resumes online I thought might be a fit, I would pass on resumes that did not list a phone number; I was just too busy and under a deadline. I had to move onto the resumes that listed phone numbers so I could call those candidates right away. If I did not find who I wanted from the phone calls I would then go back and email candidates that listed emails only.
