Pharmaceutical Sales Interview Tip Of The Day: Research Beyond The Web
Posted in Interview Tips by adminPharmaceutical sales positions are one of the most sought out job opportunities. So much so an applicant needs to separate himself/herself from the rest of the pack. Researching your potential employer prior to the interview is a must. However, anyone and everyone can sit behind a computer, read the company website, news, and feel prepared and up to so speed on the company they may soon work for.
Why not go beyond the web, learn more than your competition, and wow your potential employer. I had a client for several years that actually required all applicants to visit the a physician or two before they stepped foot into a face to face interview. The employer did not set these appointments up and left it up to the applicant to accomplish this task.
Blast Your Resume to over 100 Pharmaceutical Recruiters and Employers
Some of the applicants I worked with were hesitant and a bit nervous to walk into a doctors office and ask to see the doctor to discuss the products they might sell if they were hired. Other applicants I worked with enjoyed the challenge and not only learned what physicians like and dislike about a particular pharmaceutical but also came into the interview with information no other applicant had. This will not only help educate you on a new employer but also show your hiring manager your willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done and your not afraid to cold call.
